About the event

Caring for Self, while Caring for Others

How does others’ suffering impact me? How do I deal with the sense of fatigue, distress or pain as I help others? How can I alleviate others' suffering in a calm and centred way?

If you wish to explore these questions, join the reflective learning space to:

> Identify situations when you experienced empathetic distress

> Understand how empathetic distress unfolds within you

> Learn strategies to care for others in a calm and centred way

Date: 12th November 2021

Time: 6:30-8 PM

Facilitator: Siva Sankar Kantheti and Shashi Nair

More about the Facilitator:

Shashi is a seeker, practitioner and teacher in inward journeys of well-being, and outward journeys of complex systemic change. Blessed with the good fortune to experience deep states of well-being and appreciating the struggles of so many adults,  youth and children to move to such states, he feels deeply compelled to work in this area.

Siva is a practitioner and teacher in inward journeys of personal mastery and a well-being coach. He has over 10 years of experience in teaching and facilitating. At present, he is working intensively on exploring, designing, and facilitating programs related to Personal Mastery and Human Wellbeing.

Shashi and Siva are Co-initiators of the Wellbeing Movement and Founding Team Members at Viridus Social Impact Solutions.

More about the Platform:

This learning space is a part of The Nurturing Zone, a platform offered by the Wellbeing Movement. The platform aims to offer insights, develop skills and cultivate practices towards wellbeing by connecting practitioners and doers with a community of individuals who are keen to work on their own wellbeing.
