About the event

Introduction to Mindfulness is intended for those who wish to explore themselves at a deeper level. The learning journey may help you to:

  • Learn to be in the present moment
  • Start to develop the ability to respond instead of reacting
  • Sense glimpses of deeper self-awareness
  • Kickstart your own practice of mindfulness

Structure:

It will include four weekly, virtual, facilitator-led spaces of 60-minute each along with a daily 15-minute practice.  In each space, we will have a brief talk on a specific topic of mindfulness, meditation, and Q&A.  The planned topics are:

  • What Is Mindfulness?
  • Mindfulness Of Emotions
  • The Wise Heart
  • Bringing Mindfulness Into Daily Life

About the Facilitator:

Pramod Athalye has been a long-time contemplative practitioner, with the core belief inner transformation is essential to making external change for greater harmony.  He has attended several 10-day Vipassana retreats and is currently in a two-year mindfulness teacher training program.

Fee range: None. The intent is to make students get an experience of the practical wisdom of mindfulness so they too may practice it, and for the facilitator to embody it through the course.
